Nope no helpful sidekick, pretty much all done by me.
Before my camera broke I was setting up the shot and then setting a 10 second trigger. Which since I’m not in full control of the snap and create some interesting shots because I am less “posed”.
After my camera broke and I been forced to use my cellphone camera. To compensate for the downgrade and lack of a timer, I did some hunting for an app that lets my camera take burst photographs. So I can take 30 photos in 20 seconds.
Nothing fancy.
However if I get one of the camera I want as a replacement I could actually get a remote trigger.
